THE PERKS OF DISCIPLESHIP

In a generation where church titles are often used to excuse reckless speech, unchecked behavior, and unaccountable influence, we must return to the original purpose of spiritual leadership and discipleship.

Why do we submit? Why do we sit under leaders? Why do we learn, serve, follow, and receive correction? Not so we can collect titles, build platforms, or become untouchable personalities. We submit and learn so that we may become disciplined followers of Jesus Christ.

In Luke 9, the disciples were called, empowered, instructed, and sent. But when the assignment was over, the apostles returned to Jesus and gave an account of what they had done. They carried authority, but they remained accountable. They were sent out, but they never outgrew the need to return to the One who sent them.

This Bible study will challenge our motives, sober our “why,” and confront the culture of titles without transformation. The true benefit of discipleship is not recognition it is becoming more like Christ, carrying His heart, representing His Kingdom, and remaining accountable to His voice.
